Our platform can accurately forecast multi-year ice events, at least 10 days in advance

Upon a request from client to confirm model performance, PolArctic model was able to accurately predict at least 10 days in advance Oct 10th, 2022 multiyear ice event that caused significant operational impact for Arctic shipping in Pond Inlet. With additional time and data to further refine model, the model has the capability to predict these types of events longer in advance with similar level of accuracy.
